Growth looks good on PEC+

Address: 73 Eglin Pkwy NE #110, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548
Launch Date: March 2025
Growth looks good on PEC. In less than a year, our newest office has grown from concept to a fully staffed, full-service operation-powered by an incredible team, meaningful community connections, and exciting early successes.
Making Waves – PEC Florida has already hit the ground running, making a strong impression in the community. The team secured a1,000-acre master-planned development with aDoor Properties and was also selected for Bay County’s Continuing Services Contract—providing local, on-call engineering support to meet the County’s ongoing needs.
The Grand Opening – PEC partnered with the local Home Builders Association (HBA) to host a grand opening celebration in downtown Pensacola, FL. The event was a success, officially kicking off the Florida office and introducing PEC’s services and vision for the region to local industry partners.
Guests enjoyed appetizers, drinks, and interactive icebreaker games, making it the perfect setting to connect, build relationships, and get the PEC name out in the community
The Florida Family – Spearheaded by Caroline McCarty and Courtney (Testa) Nelson—who just happened to already live near the future home of the Florida office—the vision quickly became a reality. With a March2025 launch, the office filled up fast. Blake Helton (civil) was the first to officially join the team in June, followed by Fisher Gabrels (Survey) and Gary Fisher (Survey), who packed up their homes and families to relocate to Florida and help kick off PEC’s survey startup in the Sunshine State.
Not long after, Alexa Peruski (project operations) joined the team remotely from her Florida home in August. By the end of 2025, the Florida office had grown from zero to nine team members, adding three more survey crew members, including two who are licensed surveyors Teddy Walker, Patrick Sheridan, and Jordan Shell. This milestone officially rounded out the survey crew and allowed the Florida office to offer full-service survey capabilities.
In January 2026, the team hit double digits with the addition of Bryan Osborn, bringing extensive local knowledge and engineering experience to the group. From a bold idea to a fully staffed operation, this Florida crew is nothing short of a dream team!
Outside Working Hours – When the workday ends, the Florida team’s competitive spirit is just getting started. From 4x4 sand volleyball and pickleball to training together for 5Ks and half marathons, this crew is always up for a challenge. And when it’s time to slow things down, you’ll find them cheering on their favorite teams near the beach—with a beverage in hand, of course.
The Fun – An honorable mention goes to the fact thatthe team managed to convince the Survey Crew to dress up for Halloween as oneof our very own Founding Florida Fathers —and rock an uglyChristmas sweater.
